Ok guys I've been having issues wit my 4g since I made a rookie mistake and arced off the alternator and I borrowed a snap on diagnostic scanner 10k and after a few test came back as the ecm was bad anything I should know about replacing it thanks for any help

You're gonna need someone who can reflash whatever new ECU you get to work with the anti theft, else it won't work.
You also need one that has a matching model number, manual vs auto, GS vs GT, and basically every year had different ones it seems.
Talk to Michael Richards at Fastworks, or someone locally if there is someone who can reflash it for you. A dealership MAY, but you'll have to convince them it's not a stolen part, so bring receipts

From Tactrix, or sometimes they sell $100 used from random people. Could put up a thread if you're looking to buy one.
