But it seems the 16g flange would limit you, if you want to change in the future. Seems like the biggest cost is the manifold.

Yep, for my new turbo I need a whole different design of manifold.
But for doing 400hp or less, 16g seems optimal.

Get the 10.5T if you can. Largest wastegate, and twin scroll. Also has the highest efficiency, so most flow

so noob question, cause I literally no nothing of turbo's and their ratings, just a bigger turbine makes more power. I understand flange style numbers but what does 16g and 10.5t stand for?

16g is a turbo model. Made by mitsubishi, used in evos. The 10.5T is a twin scroll variant of it with dual 10.5mm wastegate holes instead of the 9.8t version with 9.8mm holes. There are also single scroll options, and single wastegate opening ones.

Hey bro been meaning to ask ya since I'm still on the fence with the head swap what are our options for valves with the 4g69 head?

4G63 valves and everything associated with them.
Go for the head swap rather than building the '69 head. I'm just building mine because I want the '69 record

Was always curious how to head swap the 63. Do you have to wire in a second cam sensor?
I found a ton of dirt stuffed behind the wheel wells.

Check out the how to section. I put up a guide to doing the head swap on a '64. Mostly the same, just no custom gear due to the 63 and 69 blocks being the same height
