So guys. I broke not only my personal best, but also the track record. 2.8 second pass in the 1/4 mile in the daily. Then I backtracked to the 1/8 mile mark. That's how quick it is. (was actually on track for a mid-low 14, 95mph at the end on my speedo)

I forgot to mention, I also broke the daily with some 4500rpm 2 step. Head or turbo, not totally sure

Nice. So if I'm reading this correctly you ran the quarter in 13.651 sec at 111.7 mph?

Nah, I was left lane with the 2 second pass lol. Something tripped the sensor.
I was in the TT vs a brand new STI on that pass
The next pass I upped the launch control, and it's actually seeming like I snapped the flywheel

Nah. It's got a dual mass flywheel, and now it has two singles (kinda). It'll still engage, but is loose.
When it's fully engaged and under load, it's silent. Whenever it's on deceleration, it rattles like hell. At idle it's just a bit rattley. I COULD still drive it, it drove home fine. But it sounds awful
Science: a dual mass flywheel has an inner that mounts to the crank, and an outer that is connected with a system of gears and springs. I believe I damaged the springs inside, but the gears remain intact. We'll know when it's out. It's cold and rainy, so I'm letting a shop tackle this one.

Can't say I blame you. Nothing better than trying to handle bolts that you can't even feel. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

It involves pulling the motor. I've already had the head off maybe 6 times this year, and done 2 engine swaps
I'd do it again if it were warmer out. It could have snowed today, the rain felt like ice

Yeah, you got the storm that hit me yesterday. You can't drop just the trans?

Nope. It would be pulling the motor again due to the tranfer case getting in the way of things.
It's also not just that thunder, it's just too cold, and I work outdoors still for now. Hopefully not next year though

That's fair. I work indoors and usually take any excuse to go outside for a few minutes while at work.
But I feel that my days of turning wrenches in the snow are done.

I couldn't imagine working under a car outside in acclimate weather. Though my frozen concrete garage floor isn't much better.

When I've got the opportunity I'd like to build my workshop to have heated floors. I'll run PEX line through the concrete before it cures, and connect that to a water heater. Thus, heated concrete floor. It will be so nice.

Go with electric conduit. Water would freeze. I would just lay on the floor and go to sleep if I had that. lmao
